Murder of Tracey Kirkpatrick Still Unsolved in 1989

Frederick County prosecutors and police have not solved the Tracey Kirkpatrick case on the 16th anniversary. State's Attorney Scott Rolle met with Tracey's parents Billy and Diane Kirkpatrick, expressing disappointment at lack of new leads. The 17 year old was killed March 15, 1989, during her first night locking up Aileen Ladies Sportswear at Westridge Shopping Center. The money remained intact, ruling out robbery. A homicide team was formed, but officials say there is no new information. Tracey’s mother plans a wreath laying at Brunswick High School’s dogwood tribute tree planted by classmates.
