AMA Urges Medicredit Plan For Health Care Reform
The American Medical Association unveiled its medicredit plan to Congress, a privately run program with federal subsidies tapering as income rises. Dr. Max H. Parrott and Dr. Russell B. Roth said the plan would offer at least some federal contribution to every family and emphasize system delivery improvements while private medicine would operate the program. City Boy Faces New Marijuana Charge
An 18 year old, Bruce Thomas Joy of Grant Place, and a 17 year old Mt. Airy girl were charged with possession of two ounces of marijuana by Cpl. Carl Harbaugh. The arrests stem from a police probe into drug abuse at Singanore High School after Joy’s Feb. 25 sentence was deferred to July 1 to allow completion of a data processing course. Joy had been convicted on three charges from the Nov. 2 drug raid, with about $500 seized alongside marijuana and amphetamines.

Thieves Break Into Cabin And Two Frederick Businesses
A summer cabin near Lantz and two Frederick City businesses were broken into over the weekend. About 370 dollars in household items were stolen from Raven Rock Park Road, Lee D. Lodge reported. Electric heaters flashlights and tools were listed among stolen goods. The larceny was reported Sunday. Five tires valued at 115 dollars were stolen from Lowell Tire and Battery on South Market Street with Sunday report. William Hurt said entry was gained by forcing a window. Four people attempted to force entry into Tire Mart on DeGrange Street Saturday but failed. A neighbor Curtis Brown reported being robbed of 35 dollars on West All Saints Street. Russell William Zimmerman was charged with disorderly conduct in Baker Park Sunday with a hearing scheduled for today.
