Red Cross Aids Serviceman Family In Frederick County
The Frederick County Red Cross chapter aided Sgt Edwin Brown and his family after recall to active duty. Brown’s family faced medical and financial strain, with housing at risk and his daughter ill. Red Cross field director and local volunteers secured temporary support and funds, enabling a safe return home once pay was established. The effort highlighted ongoing Home Service aid funded by the annual campaign. Also notes: Intra-County Numismatic Society met March 5 in Libertytown with 36 attendees and a talk by Liam Mendle Petersen on Naval History and Bermuda Finds.
