Ahalt guilty of manslaughter in student death case

A 19 year old pleaded guilty Wednesday to manslaughter in the death of his friend during a personal crisis at his apartment on East Patrick Street Frederick. Robert Kyle Ahalt admitted handing a gun to David Matthew Teeter who then died in the Jan 14 incident. He claimed he did not point the gun at Teeter’s forehead and was beside him when it fired.

Rosebud President Smith Dies at 66

Mr. Allen Reno Jimmy Smith Jr., president of Rosebud Perfume Co. of Woodsboro, died at his residence on Wednesday at age 66. The family business, begun by his grandfather Dr. George F.
