Snow and sleet forced Frederick County schools to open one hour late as a wintry storm moved through Maryland. Heavy rain and potential sleet were forecast for the afternoon along with flash flood warnings across central and western Maryland.
The Senate Finance Committee moves to approve by tonight a tax cut bill totaling 31.5 billion dollars, offering up to 2000 dollars in rebates for home buyers from April to December 1975. The measure expands House provisions and faces swift Senate debate with a May 1 rebate mailing target.
Frederick County Planning Commission on a 6 1 vote denied the Adamstown East 1800 unit planned unit development moving to Phase 1 status amid hours of testimony. The PUD goes to the Board of County Commissioners for possible override while staff cited soil and road concerns and limited facilities to support growth.
District Court Judge Byron W.
