Burkittsville Opposes Growth Plan and Seeks Stability
Burkittsville Mayor Lawrence Way told a Monday town meeting that residents oppose growth and prefer single family living with a population of 221. He predicted little development within town limits and warned developers would favor areas with water and sewer. The council plans a seven member Planning and Zoning Commission and to seek a permanent town office location at the Ruritan Club. A street light project was approved.
