Parking reform panel backs truck double parking limit

Dickerson site eyed for county trash incinerator move

ROCKVILLE The Dickerson PEPCO site may be added to Montgomery County solid waste plans as a potential location for the county trash incinerator. Councilman David L. Scull pushed a plan amendment to include Dickerson as an option amid opposition to Shady Grove Road and Travilah Quarry sites. Peggy Erickson of the Concerned Citizens and Scientists for a Healthful Environment reserved judgment, while opposing weaker safeguards and urging scrubbers and a bag house in any proposal.

Cement firm wins road move to extend quarry life

Aquino forms panel on revolutionary powers in Philippines

President Corazon Aquino named a commission to consider granting herself power to dismantle Marcos era autocracy.
