Bomb threat evacuates Frederick High School
Frederick High School was evacuated for over a half hour after a bomb threat received at 2:30 pm. City Police searched the building but found no device. Students stood outside until 3 pm when dismissal followed a welfare dance in the gym.
Miss Schoolman Chosen For White House Conference
Nine Maryland youth delegates were selected for the White House Conference on Youth in Estes Park Colorado April 18 22 including Dinah Ann Schoolman of Braddock Heights and David Morgenstein of Baltimore Experimental High School Bruce Chase and Bonnie Kline also named along with Elaine Hill Antoniette Norwood Ric Wiles Vernon Stoner and Dorothea White from Prince Georges and nearby counties. The group was chosen from 20 Maryland nominees by the Maryland Committee for Children and Youth to represent youth demographics. The conference will bring 1000 youths aged 14 to 24 and 500 adult leaders to discuss policy on education economy drugs race and other issues. It follows the White House Conference on Children held in December 1970.
