Hear Selection of School Board Argued
About 250 Frederick County delegates and residents debated methods to select the school board. Supporters favored an elected board under a referendum with concerns over classroom shortages and governance. Critics warned of political campaigning and potential downsides of an elected board, while some favored appointive plans with patronage safeguards and tax oversight.
