Communists In The Army Drawn Under Scrutiny
Secretary of Defense Charles E. Wileson says the number of Communists in the U S Army is "pretty small" while a task force from his office probes handling of Communists. He argues the law does not excuse known Communists from two years service, nor those who claim Fifth Amendment privileges. The Army surveils suspects but acts if information emerges. A strong defense is indocrination of recruits in democratic principles to spot traitors.
