Washington Daybook on Census Shifts and House Seats
Washington Daybook reports the upcoming census will redraw state delegations, with states like New York, Pennsylvania, Illinois, and nine Southern states likely losing seats to western states such as California. It notes Democratic efforts to control Congress, helps map districts, and cites figures from Victor Hunt Harding on election dynamics, plus brief profiles of Sidney Yates and Ralph F. Church debating rent control. It also lists two arrests for non payment of support and indecent exposure.
