Washington March 11 AP Costs of administering the agricultural adjustment program in Maryland rise above national averages. By February 1 Maryland disbursed 1,890,115 with 153,563 for administration. Maryland farmers received 1,676,552 in rental and benefit payments, Frederick County totaling 290,295 and other counties listed with varying sums.

Miss S Edith Stevenson 65 a Woodstock resident who spent winter in Frederick was killed February 28 in Washington when struck by a car on Wisconsin Avenue and Macomb Street. The driver Leroy Bornman 22 Seneca Md was detained then released on $100 bond pending inquest. Stevenson stayed at Francis Scott Key hotel and Alban Tower Apartments near Episcopal Cathedral. She drove her own car and went to Washington on doctor’s orders for a warmer climate.
