Big 63 Tractor Sales Rise As 90 HP Models Expand
In eight months of 1962 national sales of 90 hp plus tractors totaled 269, but by eight months of 1963 more than 2,300 moved from showrooms to farms. 1964 should see broader acceptance as major makers offer over 90 hp models, with farms expanding and farmers seeking to match larger acreages. Labor and acreage drive purchases, though some farms find big tractors impractical due to investment and operation costs.

Gardeners Pruning and Seeding for Spring Greens
Spring is near and gardeners prune grapes fruit trees and shade trees. Prune grapes to within three buds of last year wood and shape trees to allow good light and spray access while removing diseased or shaded branches. Dormant spraying should avoid below 40 degrees and oil sprays on certain species. Winter fertilizing lime lawns and testing soil are advised. Big Tractor Benefits Highlight Time Saved in Investment
