Montgomery School Board race names 15 candidates
Fifteen candidates qualified for the three Montgomery School Board seats with a May 16 primary set. The six top votegetters advance to the November 7 general election. Incumbents Thomas Israel and Marillyn S. Allen seek re election alongside Elizabeth W. Spencer Marquis R. Seidel and Harriet T. Bernstein among others. Public hearings on the $10.4 million parks and planning budget and related county allocations are planned with a first hearing April 5 in Silver Spring.
