County Stocked With Ringneck Pheasants in Frederick County
State Game Wardens and officials retook 167 mature ringneck pheasants destined for Frederick County’s northern districts. Wardens redistributed birds in coveys of four hens and one male after discovering a near even sex split. The adjustment targeted grounds within ten miles of the Pennsylvania border, citing terrain better for pheasant sustenance. This follows last year’s stocking pattern and marks the second consecutive effort.
