Raising a Family by Olive Roberts Barton
A writer discusses childhood fears including water dread and shadow fear, noting mothers shape responses and that forcing a child into frightening situations rarely helps. It argues gradual exposure builds courage, while recognizing fear as part of early life and urging understanding and patience from parents. Per capita tea consumption is noted, contrasting tea and coffee usage and cup yield.
