Gypsy Moth spraying set for April in Montgomery County
Montgomery County will spray 447 acres for Gypsy Moth control starting mid April depending on weather. Little Bennett Regional Park in Clarksburg covers 469 acres for airborne treatment using EPA registered insecticides non toxic to people and bees. A Chevy Chase library briefing drew mixed reactions with residents asked to submit written objections if they want property excluded from spray blocks. Public notices outline safety, brief indoor exposure, and that spraying avoids schools when buses load.
