Maryland lawmakers rush to finish amid reapportionment fight
In Annapolis lawmakers faced a busy finish with about 309 bills pending and only one on reapportionment likely to reach a tie. Leadership aims to end session by Wednesday though the deadline is Thursday. Most bills face dead files as leaders push redistricting plans favoring Baltimore plus big counties, with redrawing lines by 1974 to equalize delegates.
