Farmers lose designated seat on planning commission
Frederick County commissioners vote to end the agriculture representative seat on the planning commission after Joel Anderson departs in April. The at large designation may attract more applicants, sparking concern from local farmers and the Farm Bureau about losing farm-focused input on land use and zoning matters. The meeting also set the makeup of an ad hoc committee to study 39 issues under the Adequate Public Facilities Ordinance.
