Six teens to be charged in Frederick High attack

Six students from Heather Ridge School are expected to be charged after a Wednesday afternoon assault on a 16 year old male near Frederick High School. Linganore wins fourth straight It's Academic title

Linganore High School clinched its fourth consecutive Frederick County Academic Tournament title in the 15th annual event. The team extended its 34 match winning streak by defeating Gov. Thomas Johnson High School 18-11 in the Thursday semifinal and Frederick High 21-3 in the Friday final after Frederick beat Walkersville 16-4. Brinkley Bill Shields Farmers From Camp Rule Fallout

ANNAPOLIS The House approved Delegate David Brinkley s measure 133 to 1 clarifying that independent contractors hired by farmers for one time services need not be covered by workers compensation. The bill aims to prevent double premiums when contractors use their own tools and run their own operations and farmers withhold no payroll taxes.
