Sentenced Ten Years For Incest In Maryland Case
A 98-year-old man, James Franklin Earp, was sentenced to 10 years in the Maryland House of Correction after a Circuit Court conviction for incest. Judge Patrick M. Schnauffer called him suitable for Patuxent Institute and warned that using one’s own flesh and blood is among the worst offenses. Earp’s daughter testified tearfully about the assault at the family home last April.

Two men arrested after $22 theft at service station
State Police captured Carroll M. Hahn aged 22 of Pikesville and Henry L. Rosenthal aged 21 of Baltimore about 30 minutes after a $22 theft at Bill's 65 Service Station near New Market. James Hicks Guilty On Assault Charge
James Hicks, 36, of Phobus Avenue, was found guilty in Magistrate court on an assault and battery charge. He received a suspended sentence after a February 4 incident with Dorothy Rice, who testified he threatened to kill her and struck her in the face during a quarrel. Delbert C. Poole 61 of Bartholows died after a cardiac attack at Alpha Portland Cement Company in Lime Kiln.
