Mrs Laura M Strine widow of Samuel Strine died at her home in Walkersville on Tuesday at 11 30 am after five weeks illness from stomach cancer She was 61 years old and is survived by two daughters Mrs Elmer Houck Walkersville and Mrs Harvey Houck at home three brothers William Albaugh Walkersville John Albaugh New Midway Isaac Albaugh Ladiesburg Funeral service will be Friday at 9 30 am at the Lutheran Church Walkersville Burial in Mt Hope Cemetery Woodsboro Palerment noted by K G Putman funeral director

The funeral for Mrs Virginia Catherine Coran was held Tuesday at 11 a.m. from Zion Lutheran church near Feaga Wille with Rev WW glel officiating. The Faithful Circle Bible Class of Grace Reformed Church attended and carried floral emblems. Bearers were nephews George W. Corun Robert FH Corin Charles D Corus Homer B Corun Dorsey E and Paul Plunk ard. Interment followed in the adjoining cemetery. M R Etchison and son were funeral directors.

Blue Ridge to Launch Night and Day Taxi Service in Frederick
The Blue Ridge Transportation Company will start a round the clock taxi service in Frederick this Saturday. The board approved purchasing two Taxor de Luxe cabs from Moller Automobile Company and will base operations at the Francis Scott Key Hotel and West Patrick street. The firm also added five International buses and two tourist buses to its 60 bus fleet, with 12 purchases since January 1, and aims to standardize equipment across its service area.
