Mrs Danforth of St Joseph Michigan recounts relief from falling of the womb and related pains after four months of Lydia E Pinkham's Vegetable Compound. She declares renewed health and strength and offers $5000 for proof that the letter is not genuine as printed.
In Pittsburgh on June 30 an overheated overcrowded freight elevator at the Heinz plant in Allegheny broke its shaft. The cage fell from the fifth floor to the cellar, injuring 23 people, with at least two likely to die. Injured include John Churney and Joseph Weber of Allegheny with leg fractures, and Mrs. Edward Holman with spinal injury. Cleveland sightseers were among the crowd. Witnesses dispute how disorderly the ride was, but the accident prompted rapid rescue and medical attention.
Jeremiah Kohler aged 58 employed by Kerbaugh & Co. on the New Market street bridge fell dead at work June 30. Cause of death listed as heart trouble.

Van Wermer brothers get reprieve pending further review of their electrocution sentence for their uncle’s murder.
Newport June 30 Reliance the cup defender proved her worth as a heavy weather boat by beating Columbia and Constitution over a 30 mile course in a stout easterly breeze. Reliance finished 4 minutes 9 seconds faster than Columbia and 4 minutes 58 seconds faster than Constitution. The old ship Raleigh sailed a strong race but could not match Reliance’s homeward burst as Constitution gained on Columbia. Captain Barr pushed the new sloop hard testing rigging spars and handling.
A Pennsylvania Railroad excursion train from Cape May dashed into an open switch at Edge Moor near Wilmington injuring the fireman and engineer. About 150 newspaper men and their wives from Philadelphia Washington Baltimore Chester and Wilmington were aboard returning from the Cape May outing. The crash demolished a freight car overturned the engine derailed three coaches with windows and seats broken and most passengers shaken but no serious injuries reported.

Warrants sought for Police Officials in New York case following raids on alleged gambling houses. Baseball results list American and National League games with several outcomes and weather noted.
