Washington Counsel Blames U S For Korea Crisis
John W. Staggers, Washington counsel for the Republic of Korea, told Frederick Rotary Club the United States bears full responsibility for the Korean crisis. He traced blame to Roosevelt era policies and postwar actions, charging the US aided Communist gains, manipulated Korean elections, and withdrew Gen Hodge, inviting Soviet and North Korean advances. He urged strong American support to defend Korea’s democracy against Communist influence.
