Communications tower approved by Frederick County board
After two hours of debate Tuesday night the Frederick County Board of Appeals approved a 250 foot communications tower off Md 144 near Woodville Road. Richard Muscarella of American Personal Communications Service said the tower would not disrupt residents and would be taller than a similar tower at the Maryland Sheriffs Youth Ranch. The plan includes limits on antennae and cabinets and a 20 year lease with removal if unused. The board also honored Chris Matthews on his retirement after eight years of service.
