Walter C. Brower 72 died instantly when a rope broke while loading hay on a wagon on his Taneytown farm. Found by his wife about nine, Dr. James T. Marsh ruled accidental death from a broken neck. Surviving are Grace Null Brower widow two daughters a son Carroll C. Crum and a sister Miss Lula Brower. City To Open Storm Water Sewer Bids
Frederick will open bids July 15 at 11 am at City Hall for storm water sewers to drain Rosedale and Villa Estates in the western city. SALISBURY June 28 21yearold Negro babysitter Lucille White Cornish of Eden is held on an assault charge after sevenyearold Lawrence Brewer son of John Brewer of near Fruitland was severely beaten and left with brain injury and left arm paralysis. Police say the belt buckle was used in the attack and the boy spit on the sitter. Brewer’s condition is listed as fair at Peninsula General Hospital.

Tree uprooted by truck crashes into street scene
A large tree was uprooted and a section of pavement torn up when a rear part of a tractor trailer struck a large limb on West Patrick street near 442. Power and telephone lines were downed briefly. Life Saved When She Answers Telephone Call
Beltsville report states a telephone call saved Mrs Nah Gingell from danger. Seconds earlier Cath erine Beall, 56, had engaged in a gasoline station incident on the Baltimore Washington Boulevard. Two-Plane Collision Heels at Dallas Love Field
A big American Airlines airliner from San Francisco collided in midair with a small two passenger plane over Dallas Love Field. The airliner landed safely. the smaller plane crashed, killing its two occupants who landed in the middle of a street. The wing was sheared off. Boy 12 Hurt in Tractor Accident at Wilson Farm
Danny Wilson, 12, of Woodville, is in satisfactory condition after a moving implement attached to a tractor ran over him on the Wilson farm. He suffered a badly mangled left arm and fractured pelvic bones with severe bruises. The incident happened when the boy paused the tractor to view the mowing unit. Three Juveniles Held Here For Car Theft
Three 15-year-old Baltimore youths were taken into custody at the Square Corner around 4 a.m. by Sergeant Harry Phillips after allegedly stealing a 1952 Kaiser from Frederick Scheible of Baltimore.
