Isaac Monderan of Meadville was nominated for Supreme Court judge and J J Porter of Pittsburgh for state treasurer by the state Prohibition Convention held in Harrisburg. Charles R Joy of Philadelphia was reelected state committee chairman, and 2500 dollars was raised for campaign purposes. A reform platform attacked party lines and called for fair ballot laws and new committee cooperation with other parties. Three Drowned While Bathing Near Perrysburg
Three young men from Bowins Green Somige were drowned in the Maumee River near Perrysburg on a Wednesday while bathing. They steered into a 15 foot deep hole and perished before aid could reach them. The victims were Don Harned Joseph La Parree and Grover Gampher.
