YMCA Kindergym promise brings active kids to life
Readers are urged to watch for signs of Kindergym at the Frederick County YMCA where Becky Michael Heather James and others show a playful obsession with activity. Instructors say Kindergym helps children explore movements to build strength and coordination while emphasizing fun over performance. Parental and community support are deemed crucial to sustaining lifelong fitness.

Christoff Trial Recap Shows Stephens Control Over Actions
Christoff faces two counts of attempted false pretense to obtain 4000 dollars. He asserts Stephens supervised all actions and major decisions were made by Stephens with day to day coordination. Prosecutors objected and Judge Goudy denied acquittal, citing a prima facie case. Christoff testified about orders regarding the Department of Community Services and his close working relationship with Stephens. He said funding forms were altered after Stephens orders and described a very friendly relationship, noting Stephens rarely visited his home before summer 1977.
