Lewis R. Dertzbaugh, Frederick Rotary Club delegate to the International Rotary Convention in Los Angeles, returned after a 12 200 mile journey. The trip included 9 000 miles by train and 3 200 by auto, with stops from Lexington Junction Kansas to Glacier National Park and several West Coast cities. The convention drew at least 2 500 delegates.

Four Injured When Auto Upsets On Slippery State Road
Four persons were injured and a Ford touring car badly damaged when it overturned on the Baltimore pike near Ridgeville after 6 30 pm Sunday. Owner William Basford and his wife plus Mr and Mrs Claude Kline occupied the car. Rain made the highway slick and the vehicle skidded before overturning. Mrs Kline had a broken collar bone and other bruises. she was moved to Ridgeville physician, then to John Keefer’s home and today to City Hospital for X rays. Other occupants suffered cuts and bruises. none seriously hurt. The car sustained extensive damage and was towed to a Ridgeville garage for repairs.
