Governor Long Sought Release From Mental Hospital
Baton Rouge officials reported on Wednesday that Governor Huey Long would seek release from Southwest Louisiana Mental Hospital through a habeas corpus hearing. Attorney Joe Arthur Sims said he would not interfere with the court process and Long planned to file for freedom in state district court before the end of the week.
