Poolesville Church Centenary Marked On June 29
Poolesville St. Peter’s church will celebrate its hundredth anniversary on Sunday June 29 with an 11 am service led by Bishop Angus Dun and Rev. Herbert Jukes. A 2:30 pm commemorative plaque presentation by the Montgomery County Historical Society will be followed by a lunch at Poolesville High School Auditorium. The observance recalls the church’s 1850s founding and Civil War era history in Maryland.
