Rolle to seek grand jury indictments in murder case
Frederick County State's Attorney Scott Rolle plans to seek indictments this week on first degree murder charges against four Frederick residents held for the killing of a Burkittsville man. He will present the case to the 23 member grand jury as soon as it can be convened after medical examiner identification is issued. The body, recovered Friday in the Potomac River, is believed to be Adrian Keane Pilkington who had been missing since June 18. If delayed, Rolle will aim for next week since the next regular grand jury meeting is July 12. He said convening a grand jury will speed the process. the alternative would be filing charges via police agencies, which could take longer. It is unclear if the death penalty will be sought, but life without parole is a possibility.

Frederick County Sheriff's Office reports 36 year old David Jenkins of 5838 Woodville Road was walking his dog on Woodville Road near Mattie Haines Road when struck by a car driven by 73 year old James Gue of 8537 Woodville Road. Jenkins died at the scene. No charges will be filed against Gue.

Arson Suspected In Fire Damaging Future Black Church
In Shreveport Louisiana an abandoned building being renovated to become the New Birth Temple Church suffered fire damage early after midnight. Fire Capt Danny Gass and Fire Department Spokesman Billy Jordan confirmed an arson suspicion as officers found the boarded site and noted renovations were underway for the church.
