Poetry Man roadside verse vendor finds niche along Md 85
LIME KILN. Lyle Bane known as Poetry Man, 45, sits with a cat and water jug by Burma Shave style signs on Md 85 at Limeoin. He writes clearly worded poems for passersby, has sold a few love poems for $2 each, and recalls writing about baseball and other topics to connect with strangers. He believes writing is a lost art and hopes his verses may inspire or become lyrics for country western songs.
