Peril in Ocean Leaks Warns of Pacific Dangers
Montgomer y CityMo special dispatch to the Chicago Tribune quotes Dr Thomas Jefferson Jackson See of Mare Island Naval Observatory Ca, claiming seismic activity stems from the secular leakage of the ocean bottom. He warns that earthquakes and volcanic activity concentrate along coasts and deepest seas, urging preparations to protect life and property while noting San Francisco's 1906 disaster. He asserts the earth may be expanding rather than contracting and that coastlines, not inland areas, face the greatest risk.
