Draft contract details canal sale near completion
Washington June 22 National Park Service completed a draft contract for the Chesapeake & Ohio Canal right of way sale to the Federal Government. Approval hinges on funding from the Works Progress Administration and court approval in District of Maryland. Other items include water supply terms for Georgetown milling firms and future trackage reservations by Baltimore & Ohio and Western Maryland Railroads.
