Judge Hough in the United States circuit court imposed 2000 dollar fines on twenty four wrapping paper manufacturers forming the Fibre and Manila association after they pleaded guilty to violating truth provisions of the Sherman act. Firms may pay by July 10. the association had dissolved. Many named companies across Pennsylvania New York Michigan and Maine face the penalties.

Berry, a former state treasurer with Prohibition ties, is contrasted with noncommittal Bryan who favors Denver convention dynamics. Other leading names cited include Johnson Folk and Mitchell. Bryan’s nomination prospects hinge on recent vote gains.
Richmond June 28 Governor Swanson accepted an invitation from William Jennings Bryan to second his domination at Denver. Swanson previously served in Congress with Bryan.
Wilmington June 23. Federal Judge George Gray would not accept the Democratic nomination for vice president under any conditions. Former Congressman L Irving Handy will announce at Denver that Gray is proposed for the presidency as he did four years ago.
The George Gray League of Delaware pushes an educational campaign to nominate Judge George Gray for president. It reports distribution of sixty thousand copies of Gray’s argument in The New Federalism. The text was printed in the Congressional Record and quoted by Rep John Sharp Williams.
