Festival of Freedom builds Bicentennial pageantry across town
The July Fourth festival features VIP parades and 60 handmade banners by county students to hang in the Armory and Bicentennial halls. July 4 in New York centers on Operation Sail with a vast fleet, including 16 large four masted schooners and 200 sailing vessels, sailing up the Hudson amid national and international delegations. The event, tied to Frederickton’s heritage, includes exclusive ship tours, receptions, and a banquet by the Historical Society honoring Dr. William K R Quynn for his diary project.
