Gettysburg interpretive programs bring Civil War alive
Gettysburg National Military Park expands interpretive programs for the Battle of Gettysburg this summer. Ranging from living farm demonstrations at Granite Farm to a Sunday only field walk across Pickett's Charge fields, the schedule includes talks, guided walks, campfires, bicycle tours, and the MGM film The Battle of Gettysburg. Free programs run daily through Labor Day with a special Sunday walk about 1 mile long. The park's summer newspaper Four Score and Seven features times and locations.

Noble earns NROTC commission at Cornell University
Mark E. Noble, son of Mr and Mrs Robert V Noble of 905 Pontige Coach Coithersbg, was commissioned Navy Ensign in his present rank upon graduation from the Naval Reserve Officers Training Corps Unit at Cornell University Ithaca NY. The commission followed completion of NROTC training which includes naval science courses, summer shipboard and shore training, and prepares midshipmen for commissioned duties.
