Historical Society Receives IBM Computer for Library
The Historical Society of Frederick County Library gains an IBM PC 300GL through IBM Funds for Community Service at the request of retired IBM employee Bernie Becker. The machine will help computerize the library catalog and records, boosting access for researchers and genealogists. The library holds 3,000 bound volumes, 45 manuscript collections, 500 photos, 100 microfilm reels, 70 maps, and other material. hours are 10 am to 4 pm Tuesday through Saturday.
