Citizenship Of German Loses U S Citizenship For Alleged Disloyalty
Washington reports the U S Court of Appeals stripped a German former Army recruit of his U S citizenship after he stated he had no love for the United States and would not fight its enemies. The ruling upheld Judge Edward Delaplaine of Frederick County Maryland who had granted citizenship in December 1943 to Peter Alfons Bindezyck then a private at Camp Ritchie Md. The decision follows a 1943 oath ceremony at Circuits Court where about 79 soldiers from Camp Ritchie took allegiance, including a German baron who renounced nobility. Counsel said they will appeal to the Supreme Court.

Truck Driver Dies In Gasoline Fire Near Glen Burnie
Elmer Cronise a 40 year old Baltimore truck driver died last night in the cab of a gasoline loaded truck after it collided with a car and rolled over on U S Route 30 four miles south of Glen Burnie Anne Arundel county police said. The cab burst into flame but was put out by Glen Burnie firemen before flames could reach the loaded tanks. Thomas W Harvey 20 of Crownsville identified as the cab driver was treated for a minor chin cut. Robert Griffith 18 of Glen Burnie a member of the fire department was treated for eye injuries from fighting the blaze. Warren W Short 27 of Henderson NC the driver of the sidewiped truck was not injured.

Army Recruiting Vehicle Collides With Farm Wagon on Route 15
An Army recruiting station vehicle and a farm wagon collided on Route 15 near Buckeystown at 8 15 this morning. Sgt Robert Lane 32 of 629 North Market Street, the Army driver, escaped injury as both vehicles stopped on the highway. Charles W Kelly 22 Buckerstown vicinity drove the tractor pulling the wagon and was charged with failing to stop before entering a paved highway. The accident occurred near the Rodney R Kelly farm with no injuries reported and a June 26 hearing set in Peoples Court.
