County rents Fountain Rock land to trout farm firm
Frederick County Commissioners approved leasing part of Fountain Rock to Casta Line Trout Farms of Goshen Virginia for 4800 dollars per year. The two year lease with a possible two year renewal covers the fenced trout farm parking area quarry lake and one manager house. Several other houses will be demolished or rented out, with remaining buildings to be used by local fire companies for practice. Casta Line projects a retail trout farm and local sales tax revenue of 10 000 to 15 000 dollars for the county.

Middletown to issue permit soon for shopping center
Middletown plans to issue the binding permit for a proposed shopping center within weeks. Town planner Raymond Karnes noted the town has sewer taps allocated by the State Health Department, with a slight increase this cycle.
