Riders from across the United States gather for the Eastern Tandem Rally in Frederick County. About 200 bikes including tandems and quads travel day trips on Hood College area roads. Frederick City Alderman Donna Kuzemchak, a Democrat aged 40, will formally announce her bid for a second term on the board of aldermen today at a residence in Wlichser. Ronald Leslie Perry, 37, of Balmoral Overlook New Market, died Saturday night when his 2001 Ford F150 left U S 40 between Keep Trust Road and the Frederick County line. He was ejected, not wearing a seat belt, and died at the scene. autopsy pending. State troopers continue the investigation and seek witnesses at 301 739 2101.
A blast at a hardware store in New York City buried three firefighters under the roof and brick facade. Dozens of rescuers, including 48 others and two civilians, were injured as flames sent churchgoers tumbling from pews. Conditions ranged from critical to serious as the blaze burned around 2 20.
Montgomery County police said a 1994 Honda Civic driven by Laura Delgado crossed the center line on Clopper Road near Warng Station Road after rain, hitting a bridge guardrail.
