Miniature horse farming grows in Frederick County
Tate and Nancy Smith run Holiday Acres Miniature Horse Farm near Ijamsville Maryland. Their herd, now 12, includes stallions mares and a filly with plans to expand. They register all stock with the American Miniature Horse Association and showcase in regional shows while noting challenges in tack and rising interest in miniature breeds.
