Firefighters Gear Up for Maryland State Convention
Firefighters from across Maryland gathered in Ocean City for the Maryland State Firemen's Association annual convention. A memorial service honored late Richard Rice, longtime head of Independent Hose Co. The gathering featured discussions on county representation, funding for equipment via the state emergency assistance trust, and plans for upcoming elections and arson-awareness events. A separate crash on US 15 sent a man to Shock Trauma in Baltimore in critical but stable condition.
