End of Garry Moore Show Leaves Tuesday Night Quiet

New York critics note the abrupt CBS cancellation after six years as Garry Moore Show ends its run. Alan King jokes about Tuesday nights to come while Moore delivers a gracious, bittersweet finale with the Cast includingDurward Kirby Marion Lorne Carol Burnett and Allen Funt. The Nurses will replace it next season and Mr Novak reruns air on NBC against Hey Teacher pilot. The two finales contrast lighthearted comedy with earnest schoolroom drama and reflect on a long running variety hour’s end.
