Frederick Memorial Hospital introduces a nuclear medicine ventilation scan to distinguish blood clots from harmless lung spots. The Xenon 133 procedure, conducted in a sealed room with specialized ventilation, helps detect emboli and related lung diseases for unstable patients and transfers from ten major hospitals.
