Hood donations enable emergency lane at FMH site

Hood College donated a small right of way to Frederick Memorial Hospital for an emergency lane, prompting the closure of the campus Seventh Street entrance and the removal of college stables. The project aims to speed emergency vehicles but will displace horses and surrounding traffic near the back campus. The stables, housing 10 to 12 horses, will be disbanded this summer as land is sought for new facilities including a softball field and future soccer and track layouts.
