Post Office cuts to stay says officials in Washington
Washington officials warn the public that post office service cuts are here to stay unless Congress forces a reversal. The postal deficit may reach a record 545 million dollars this year, with only first class mail and postal savings paying. Critics cite wage, transport, and rate increases since the war as factors, while Hoover Commission ideas face heavy industry pressure.
