Walkersville church water request denied by county panel
The Walkersville church seeks water service reclassification to extend a main to its site but the County Commissioners deny the request. Deputy County Attorney Wend Kearney notes changes require owner consent and the property’s owner is not Walkersville. Church planner Eliza Well Passerb explains town-backed aim to connect to Frederick water, with annexed land inside growth limits. Church advised to re-file independently while the town withdraws its bid, as officials insist on following the law.
