Myersville approves 1995 operating budget without tax hike
Myersville town officials adopted a 1995 operating budget of 219,330 with no property tax increase after a brief hearing. The general fund rises 31,250, and the water and sewer fund totals 281,287 with a 97,000 sewer-time increase likely prompting higher fees. County-mandated costs push a 50 percent rise in water and sewer rates due to aging plant and equipment. Residents pay 35.76 for 5,000 gallons and 1.65 per additional 1,000 gallons quarterly.
